In the video, Shakira sings and dances against the backdrop of a football field, flanked by dancers. The clip also has a strong football flavor, as some of the biggest names in the sport appear: Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Luis Diaz, Vinicius Jr., Rodri, Takefusa Kubo, Santiago Jimenez, Alfonso Davies, Jamal Musiala, Christian Pulisic, Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.
The song was released on May 14, but on Saturday the official video was released.
Shakira and the World Cup
For Shakira, the relationship with the World Cup is not new. Her connection with FIFA dates back almost two decades, to the 2006 World Cup in Germany, when she sang “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Bamboo” at the closing ceremony. In 2010, in South Africa, he opened and closed the event with “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”, while in 2014 he was again on the World Cup stage in Brazil.
The summer of 2026 will be another milestone for her, as she will lead the first halftime show in FIFA World Cup history, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, on July 19, the day of the final, alongside Madonna and BTS.
